Womack returning?, Ultra Award reaction, and Kat and Alfie split!
This week at Ultra...
Howdy all! It's the EEUltra site editor, Etasham Hussain. Now that our sites back up and running in working order, we've made a few changes to this blog! Now, this is the place where I, Etasham share with you my weekly highlights on the site.
Let's begin with the BIG NEWS that was released yesterday on the News Of The World. 'Samantha Womack to return?' Now, this is just a speculation, however, the NOTW are saying that there is truth in this rumour, so could Ronnie be back? hmm... I wonder! The reports have revealed that Samantha Womack, who has recently been facing a very tough time in the media, is to take a break for 12 months and then return to the show in 2012. We here at Ultra hope this news is true, as we love Sam dearly and think her character Ronnie is the biggest attraction to watch EastEnders at the moment.
There haven't been any confirmations on this story yet, but we were very eager to post it on the site. It is just a specualation, mind. We hope the BBC will be confirming the truth on the story. Meanwhile, we're left with wondering how poor Ronnie could ever return and face the residents after her horrific crimes! But, we're sure they'll manage! After all, our beloved Stacey has to come back oneday, and she's a muderer!
Anyhow, let's move on to more cheery stuff! The EastEnders Ultra Awards 2010!
We launched the voting way back last year and the results were finally revealed. 'Best Actor' was stolen by no other than Steven McFadden, who plays crack addict Phil Mitchell. Meanwhile, 'Best Actress' came at not surprise whatsoever, well, not for me anyway. The lovely Lacey Turner picked it up for her portrayal as Walford favourite, Stacey Branning.
There were many other awards, but one result which surprised me Lindsey Coulson who plays grieving mother, Carol Jackson. Although I loved her as an actress and even remember getting goosebumps when seeing her portray Carol during Billie's death, I really thought you at home would support Lacey throughout her last year. However, you didn't disappoint when it came to the grand finale, oh no! The fantastic Lacey Turner won the show with the 'Award of the Year'.
I just want to say on behalf of the whole team, a big thank you to all of you for voting! You were truly fantastic! Hope to have another fab awards show next year!
Now, coming back to this week's EastEnders on the telly...
It's a big week for Kat and Alfie, not that it's every been a small week since they've arrived. However, I'm sure many of you will face severe heartache as the pair split! Yes, it all becomes too much for our favourite Walford couple this week, and they realise that they should go their separate ways!
The loss of a baby is a major test for a couple, so let's hope they stick it out! But it's not going to be easy as troublemaker, Michael is still about. Let's hope a foxy lady on the square manages to distract him, won't mention any names... So, we're wishing the best to lovely Kat and Alfie but it's going to be tought after Alfie caught Kat kissing Michael. Ouch! That's gotta hurt!
So, that's the latest from my world. Another blog next week, or maybe sooner if something pops up! Don't forget to read the latest news & gossip from the square on our main site. Okay, thanks for reading, have a great week!
